About Me

Hello! My name is Maddi Bluhme and I call the plains of Northern Colorado my home. I am currently working on my debut novel, This Cruel Fate, a New Adult science fantasy. 

I graduated college with a degree in Creative Writing, though I’ve been writing stories since I was able to write in complete sentences. All of my family members have one embarrassing story or another that I wrote in my school days. While I won’t live down my attempt at writing National Treasure 1 and 1/2, I’ve been blessed to grow up in a family that encourages my artistic endeavors as valuable and vital. 

In my youth, I was obsessed with fantasy, Lord of the Rings, Eragon—you name it. It was my whole world. In my adulthood, I am still in love with the allure of fantasy, as well as the exploration of sci-fi. When it comes to my writing, I love to explore depth of character as well as on-going modern day issues with the flourish of sweeping new worlds and intergalactic conflicts.  

When I’m not writing, you can find me crocheting no less than three ongoing projects or hanging out with my dogs and cats. 

I am currently seeking representation for a long-term agent in which to publish sci-fi and fantasy novels.
